How it works

From a first call to a folder in your hands

Most plans take a few meetings. We will tell you after the first call roughly how many.

  1. Step 1: A twenty-minute call

You tell us what you have and who you worry about. We say which package fits and what it costs.

  2. Step 2: A planning meeting

We meet here, at your home or by video, and walk through who gets what and who acts for you.

  3. Step 3: A draft and one round of changes

You get the drafts in writing. You mark them up, we revise once and send them again.

  4. Step 4: The signing meeting

You sign with our staff as witnesses and a notary, and we put the originals in the folder.

  5. Step 5: A check-in a year on

We write to you a year later and ask whether anything has changed.

Signing day

An hour at the table, then you are done

Signing takes about an hour. Two members of our staff witness and one is a notary, so you do not have to bring anyone. Bring your photo ID, and your family if you like.

Before you leave

  • The originals go into the folder

  • Each grown child you name gets a copy

  • We keep scanned copies in your file

Before you book

Do I need to bring anything to the first meeting?

Copies of any wills, trusts or powers of attorney, a recent deed and a rough list of your accounts. If you have none of that, come anyway.

Can my son or daughter join?

Yes, in person or by video. Many families prefer it. We will ask you first whether you want them in every part of the meeting.

What if my situation changes midway?

Tell us. A change before signing is part of the process, and we revise the drafts.

Ready for the twenty-minute call?

Tell us a little about your situation and we will find a time.
